About
Stand Strong CLT is a local initiative dedicated to spreading the message of equality, justice and peace through art within the Charlotte area and beyond.
My name is Dave Haire and I am a native Charlottean who was inspired by the protests taking place in the streets of Charlotte following the police shooting of Keith Lamont Scott on September 20, 2016. I felt compelled to create something that would resonate with the oppressed people of Charlotte and speak truth to power. The image of the raised fist paired with the iconic crown mark of our city is intended to be a symbol of empowerment for those committed to making Charlotte a place of compassion, love, and equality. To stand up against injustice and oppression, we must stand together.
All profits from Stand Strong CLT products goes back into the Stand Strong CLT initiative and the creation of new works. A portion of the profits is shared between The Equal Justice initiative eji.org, The ACLU aclu.org, nationally and Block Love CLT blockloveclt.org
I also offer my design services to organizations in need of design and/or for fundraising help. Most recently I have worked with the Bring Music Home Initiative which supports music venues nationally and local through NIVA, Music Everywhere CLT "Keep Charlotte Music Alive" initiative and CLT Laid Off Locals. If your organization has a need please reach out.
